Sprinkles Galore!

Vol. 3 of 4

Organize your sprinkles like the rainbow

Sprinkles, sprinkles SPRINKLES! I need to have all the colors, all the different shapes, sizes, non-pariels, jimmies (yes I am from Jersey), sixlets, dragees and everything in between. I have been hoarding sprinkles for a number of years now and when coming across sprinkles in my shopping travels, I rarely resist! I love making custom sprinkle mixes and create sprinkles for my customers orders. I originally had my sprinkles on a shelf, just mixed in all together, trying to organize them in cute containers. But as my collection grew out of the cute containers and I was wasting time looking through the shelves to find the right color, I decided to make a change. So off to the good ole “The Container Store” I went, with a plan in mind!

I decided to organize my huge sprinkle collection using ROY G. BIV, which if you can remember all the way back to Elementary School, it is the abbreviation for Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet! The colors of the rainbow! By organizing them in this fashion, with the gradient of other colors in between. I have created a very smooth system of retrieving my sprinkles to make my custom mixes or if I buy MORE sprinkles, I just pop them in to their designated bins at a glance. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy!

The clear bins that I use to organize my sprinkles at Bunnycakes Shop can be found here at The Container Store. The Container Store also has the clear shoe boxes/bins that I organize my cookie cutters in, which could be used for your sprinkles also! These containers are very affordable and once you have put everything away in them, you feel like an organizing QUEEN or should I say COOKIE QUEEN! LOL! Try it out and let me know how you organize your sprinkles. Week 4 of my Baker Boss Organizing series (A Place for Everything and Everything in its Place) will be the grand finale, where I will give you a tour of Bunnycakes and how I keep things flowing smoothly! Hope you have a great weekend and see you next week! Happy Baking!
